acrord32.exe (or Acrobat.exe) has generated errors...

Q. When I try to access a PDF file using Internet Explorer, I get the message "acrord32.exe (or Acrobat.exe) has generated errors and will be closed by Windows." Can you suggest a fix?

A. An application exception occurs when the application is trying to access memory that the operating system doesn't want it to access.

This type of problem might have several causes and solutions. To avoid the error when accessing Acrobat (.pdf) files/forms, it is recommended that you click the right mouse button over the file link and save the file to your hard drive (using "Save Target As" or "Save Link As" or your browser's equivalent). Open the file on your hard drive using the application instead of your web browser.
