Long term disability insurance is available to all employees with a work commitment of .50 or greater.  This insurance is offered through Hartford Life Insurance Company.  The plan provides a monthly income for employees who become totally disabled.  Beginning on the 181st day after disability, the employee receives a monthly income equivalent to 60% of salary (up to a maximum of $6,000 per month).
