Georgia Correctional Health Care |
The Georgia Correctional Healthcare (GCHC) Section acts as the liaison
for GCHC staff to the Human Resources functions at the Medical College of
Georgia. The Georgia Correctional Healthcare staff:
- Balance MCG policies with the Department of Corrections policies.
- Process appointments, terminations, tax information, benefit changes,
retirement, etc.
- Work closely with MCG's Legal Department for guidance when the
situation requires it.
- Serve as a member of MCG's HR management team to assure GCHC's
incorporation into all of the Medical College's activities.
- Work with Georgia Department of Corrections HR department to assure smooth flow of accurate
information.
- Assist the Managing Director of GCHC in a variety of management
issues, including reporting on staffing, recruiting, retention, and other
HR functions.
- Consult with on-site Health Services Administrators on a variety of
Human Resource issues.
