Description:  Seeking an outstanding executive to lead the Nursing Faculty Practice Group and practice initiatives.  The Associate Dean for Academic Nursing Practice will partner with the Dean and the School of Nursing executive team to advance the academic nursing enterprise in the School of Nursing.  This faculty leader will manage the overall operations of the Nursing Faculty Practice Group (NFPG); facilitate practice and outreach opportunities within the community; serve as a member of the School's senior leadership; and actively participate in formulating strategic direction for academic nursing practice.  Additionally, this executive leader will oversee the fiscal management for the NFPG, supervise faculty and staff assigned to this area; and provide visionary leadership in drafting policies and procedures to ensure the continued growth of the academic nursing enterprise.  This administrative role will also include a ranked faculty appointment in one of our three departments;  Biobehavioral Nursing, Health Environments and Systems, or Physiological and Technological Nursing. The successful candidate will possess an earned doctorate in nursing, education administration or related field; demonstrated practice management experience; and familiarity with academic nursing practice operations.  (Related research is desirable.)
