Primary position responsibilities are coordinating recruitment, admissions, and advisement processes for all departmental graduate and undergraduate programs in Clinical Laboratory Science, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Medical Dosimetry, Nuclear Medicine Technology, and Radiation Therapy; assisting the departmental chair with program-related administrative tasks; assisting with development and delivery of discipline specific courses; coordinating the process of establishing and maintaining clinical affiliation agreements; and providing research, scholarly activities, and professional service in accordance with effort allocation.

Description: The Respiratory Therapy Department at the Medical College of Georgia is conducting a search for three full-time, twelve-month faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor through Professor for our CoARC/CAAHEP accredited B.S. program.
 
The program has moved into a new, state-of-the-art Health Sciences Building and is looking for faculty who want to be a part of one of the most dynamic and rigorous RT programs in the nation. Our primary mission is providing education that prepares students for success as leaders within the profession and practice of respiratory care. Our success is evidenced by:

  • Fifteen national ARCF student education awards over ten consecutive years
  • Eleven national Lambda Beta Society student scholarships over ten consecutive years
  • Ten year, full accreditation by CoARC with consistent achievement of top outcomes

The duties and responsibilities of this position include classroom, lab and clinical teaching, service and research. Experience in web-based teaching, curriculum design, and program development is desirable. Ph.D., advanced credentials, and teaching experience in an accredited respiratory therapy program are preferred.
