Description: The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Section of Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta Georgia, is seeking Maternal-Fetal specialist to join our expanding MFM section at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience. Applicants must be active candidates or board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Clinical responsibilities include prenatal diagnosis and treatment, high-risk pregnancy consultation and care along with perinatal outreach. Candidates must be interested in teaching our residents and students. Basic science and clinical research opportunities are available. The ideal candidate must be skilled in obstetrical ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, and clinical obstetrics.
Our practice is equipped with the latest ultrasound equipment, a state of the art image archival and reporting system and is supported by RDMS sonographers and a genetics counselor. We are a consultative practice only providing high risk consultations, prenatal diagnosis, and genetic counseling. Services provided include targeted ultrasound, prenatal testing (nuchal translucency, CVS, amniocentesis, etc.), pre-conceptual counseling and others. An integral portion of the practice involves providing consultative services in an office-based practice to area physicians as well as in-patient consultative services at local hospitals.
