Applications are being sought to fill an Assistant or Associate Professor level faculty position.  Candidates should have a proven track record of productive research and preference will be given to those with funded projects.  The selected candidate will receive a competitive start-up package.  Areas of expertise should be investigating the role of molecular chaperones in protein misfolding diseases such as neurodegeneration and myopathies, cancer, protein trafficking, signal transduction, nuclear receptors assembly and function, as well as other related fields focusing on basic or translational research.  Successful applicant will join a group of scientists investigating the role of molecular chaperones in animal models (mice, yeast, zebrafish) of human disease such as neurodegenerative disease, cancer, myopathies, viral immunology and inflammation.  Information on excellent core facilities is available at www.mcg.edu.
