Interests:

Clinically, Dr. Johnson focuses on the broad spectrum of glaucoma and associated anterior segment diseases.  She has gained considerable experience in these areas during her tenure in other university settings.  From 1996 to 2003 she was Director of Glaucoma at UNC Chapel Hill.  From 2003 to 2006 she was a member of the glaucoma service at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.  During her time at UNC Chapel Hill she not only maintained a busy clinical practice but also was highly involved with the resident's doing lectures as well as clinical and surgical education.  She also was the Coordinator of Ophthalmology Education for Medical Students.  She is also interested in teaching on an international level and in November of 2006 will work with ORBIS and Dartmouth Medical School in Tanzania.
