Our department meets weekly on all Monday mornings for grand rounds except for the first Monday of each month.  During these sessions unique or challenging medical/surgical cases are presented for discussion.  

Time: 7:15 to 8:30 a.m.

Location: Conference room BC-130 in the auditoria center 
(located across from medical photography.  Please contact Jenny Roberts (706)721-1150 as needed for directions.

For each session attended continuing education credits are offered as outlined on the main education page.  Those interested in participation are invited to attend.

Traditionally our grand rounds have been subspecialty driven, meaning that the resident on a given subspecialty would be responsible for presenting the rounds.  Beginning in academic year 2006 the sessions will be driven according to a schedule where residents are assigned to present on a certain day.  They will be responsible for presenting cases with which they have had close involvement.  In December of each year each resident will briefly report on the research that they are involved with.
