CCEMTP Renewal Policy

The CCEMTP certificate is issued for three years.

 

Please follow the steps below to complete your renewal request:

  • Download the renewal packet or submit a letter to the Department of Emergency Health Service. In your letter you need to include all of the information requested on the renewal form.
  • Enclose copy of your current:
  • CCEMTP card (or certificate)
  • Current Paramedic, nursing, or other health care professional license

 

  • Provide documentation of 36 hours of continuing education at the ALS level on topics related to the Critical Care curriculum. This documentation may be in the form of a letter on letterhead signed by the Training Office/Medical Director with a breakdown of topics and hours for each category; or a copy of your state continuing education printout with supporting documentation (certificates with dates and signatures).
  • Enclose your renewal fee for $ 35.00 made payable to UMBC. We also accept VISA and MasterCard. There is a $ 5.00 convenience processing fee for credit card transactions. The credit card form/information is available on the renewal request form.
  • Forward your renewal request, documentation and renewal fee to:

Completed renewal request that are received from the 1st through the end of the month are processed the first two weeks of the following month (example: received during June - processed in July, etc.).
