I.        Welcome and Introduction – Lisa Wheatley, Chair

Lisa called the meeting to order. 

 

II.       Agenda Item 1


         Campus Communications           

·         Jack Evans from Campus Communications discussed the need to improve campus communications.  A representative from Campus Communications will attend the next EAC meeting to assist the EAC with the communication process.

·         Lisa Stamper will schedule a meeting with a representative from Campus Communications to discuss the format and design of EAC communications. The intent is to have a balance between professional and engaging.

·         The council members will still continue to communicate with their constituents as they have in the past.

 

III.      Agenda Item 2


         State Council Meeting

·         Lisa Wheatley is researching the State Council Meeting and will have information at the next meeting.

 

IV.     Agenda Item 3


         Presidential Search Committee Information

·         Lisa Wheatley reviewed the comments and suggestions received from constituents regarding the qualities and characteristics that employees are looking for in the next president.  The comments and suggestions will be forwarded to the search committee.

 

V.       Agenda Item 4


         Review Comments and Suggestions from Constituents

·         Comments and suggestions were reviewed by the council members. Constituents are encouraged to continue to submit their comments and suggestions as they are much appreciated.

·         All comments and suggestions received that are identified with an employee’s name are entered in the quarterly drawing for a Mocha Mahn gift certificate. The quarterly drawing was held at the meeting and Christine O’Meara was the winner.   

 

VI.     Agenda Item 5


         Wellness Initiative and Employee Service Ceremony Volunteers

·         Lisa Stamper attended the first Wellness Initiative project meeting held on Monday, October 12. 

·         The Employee & Faculty Service Ceremony was held on Friday, October 9 at 2:00 p.m. in the Natalie and Lansing B. Lee Auditorium (formerly the large auditorium). The following EAC members volunteered their time to assist with the ceremony: Lisa Stamper, Barbara Barton, Lisa Wheatley, Laurie Bush, David Wardlaw, Gina Boyd, and Tracy Chavous.

 

VII.    Agenda Item 6


         Employee Awareness and Benefits Fair  

·         The Employee Awareness and Benefits Fair is scheduled for Thursday, October 15 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Wellness Center.  

·         The EAC will have a representative at the event.
