Student Loans FAQ

When will I receive information about Perkins/Nursing Loan Funds?

All correspondence from the Student Loan Office is e-mailed to your student GroupWise email account as information is generated.

How can I access the website to eSign my promissory note(s)?

There are two ways:

1. Go through PULSE and select the Financial Aid menu item.  There you will see information about eSigning.

2. Go directly to ACS on the web to eSign.

What should I do if I am not able to eSign my promissory note when I log in?

This indicates you have not yet received the email from ACS notifying you that your promissory note is ready to be eSigned.  Once you receive the email, you will be able to eSign.

What should I do if I do not have my FAFSA pin and I am not able to eSign my promissory note?

You will not be able to eSign your promissory note without this pin.  However, if you print and sign the note you may mail it to the Cashier's Office or bring it by to drop it off during business hours.  Faxed copies are not acceptable.  Our mailing address is: MCG Cashier's Office, AA2004, 1459 Laney Walker Blvd., Augusta, GA 30912.  Hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. If you mail the promissory note, please call our office to confirm delivery.

What should I do if I never received the email from ACS stating my promissory note is ready to be eSigned, or any other emails regarding necessary documentation?

Call the Student Loans Office at 706-721-6023.  An alternate number is 706-721-2926.

I have completed all of my required documents.  Why does my PULSE account reflect incomplete satisfaction of requirements?

There are a total of three forms that must be completed before your funds are disbursed.  Your account will more reflect satisfied until all three forms are completed.  These forms are as follows:

  1. eSigned prommissory notes
  2. Entrance Interview Counseling
  3. Truth-in-Lending Forms

How do I complete these three form requirements?

ACS emails you the link to eSign your promissory notes.

The Student Loans Office emails you the link to complete entrance interviews.

The Student Loans Office emails you the Truth-in-Lending form.

Can I complete these requirements at the Cashier's Office?

Only the Truth-in-Lending form can be completed at the Cashier's Office.  The promissory notes and entrance interviews must be completed online. However, to avoid processing time, it is better if you can complete the Truth-in-Lending form attachment on your email from the Student Loans Office since it has specific personal information on it.

Do I need to notify anyone once I complete the promissory notes and entrance interviews online?

No, once the forms are completed, a report is automatically generated and forwarded to Student Loans Office including all students who have successfully completed their online requirements.

What if I decide I do not want the Perkins or Nursing award that I have received?  Will the loan still be processed?

If you do not complete all three requirements listed above the loans will not be processed.  If you have already completed all three requirements, you must contact your Financial Aid Counselor in writing to let them know that you are not interested in receiving funds.  If you do not contact the Financial Aid Office or the Student Loans Office, you will continue to receive e-mails requesting requirement satisfaction.

When will I receive the loan funds on my PULSE account?

Once all three requirements are satisfied, the funds will be reflected on your PULSE account within 72 hours.  If the funds are not reflected after 72 hours, please contact the Student Loans Office immediately at 706-721-6023, or 706-721-2926 for review of your account.
