Funding & Grants

In addition to funds from the State of Georgia, research in the laboratories of VBC faculty is supported by several outside funding agencies including the National Institutes of Health, the American Heart Association, and the American Lung Association. All eight current Core faculty members of the VBC have one or more active research grants. On a per faculty basis or on a per square foot of laboratory space basis, VBC Core Faculty funding represents one of the highest levels of extramural funding received by any Department or academic unit on the MCG campus or in the nation.

Extramural Funding Sources
Vascular Biology research is funded by several non-profit, not-for-profit and government agencies. This page serves as a gateway to the home pages of these agencies where information regarding awards and funding opportunities and materials for application and progress report submission can be found.
