Leading the Charge

Patricia Sodomka, FACHE, has worked as a MCG Health System executive since 1987 and has implemented patient- and family-centered care programs and facilities since 1992.

She is recognized as a national leader in patient- and family-centered care.

Mrs. Sodomka is dedicated to the development of the Center and meeting its initial goals and objectives.
Her reporting relationship is to the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs.

Roman M. Cibirka, DDS, MS is the Vice President for Instruction and Associate Provost for Academic Affairs. He joined MCG in 1996 as Associate Professor in Oral Rehabilitation at the School of Dentistry.

Dr. Cibirka is Chair of the Patient- and Family-Centered Care Curriculum Committee. This group is responsible for the development and implementation of the curriculum for the schools as it applies
to the Center. His reporting relationship is to the Provost of the University.

 

 

Christine O'Meara, MA, MPH joined the Center as Program Development Coordinator in October 2007.

Her background in public health education, training, multi-media materials development and managing a statewide media campaign is well suited to the work of the Center.

Chris' primary responsibilities include helping to build the Center's infrastructure, developing educational initiatives and grantwriting.

 

 

Anthony Bernard Roberson, MSM, BA, HSC is Director of Family Services Development at MCG Health, Inc., the non-for-profit corporation that manages the hospitals and clinics of the Medical College of Georgia.

Bernard is responsible for the day-to-day ongoing development and implementation of patient- and family-centered care.
