How You Can Help Advance
Research in Alzheimer’s Disease
You are
invited to join the MCG Memory Assessment Program:
This program, currently being conducted by the Alzheimer Research Center
at the Medical College of Georgia has a two-fold objective: to assess risk
factors for Alzheimer Disease and to develop a treatment for the disease.
Both healthy subjects and Alzheimer Subjects, ages 60 and older are needed
for the study.
During the Study Assessment Session:

You will sign written consents indicating your
willingness to participate in the research.

You will give oral and written responses to
questions testing your memory and problem solving skills.

You will donate about six tablespoons of blood.
Additional Information:

Your testing will take about two hours to complete
and will be conducted at the Walter L. Shepeard Building, conveniently
located on the MCG campus. Free visitor parking is available.

You will be tested at intervals of between six
months and a year.

The results of your testing are totally
confidential. Results are revealed to no one outside the study including
the subject, the subject’s family, insurance providers or physicians.

There is no charge to you for participating in the
study.
- Your participation in the program will provide
a great contribution to the understanding of Alzheimer’s Disease.
