The Vascular Biology Center offers a number of
opportunities for post-doctoral career development for
interested fellows. First, each faculty member of the
Vascular Biology Center maintains an active and funded
research lab in which positions for post-doctoral
research are often available. Please contact individual
members on the Core Faculty for available positions.
Secondly, the VBC holds a Post-Doctoral Training Grant
that provides salary and travel support for qualified
applicants. Full information can be found on the Training
Grant page. Finally, the Medical College of Georgia
provides an established Office of
Post-Doctoral Affairs which provides support services
and visa and immimgration assistance for MCG
post-doctoral fellows.
For additional information, please

Integrative Cardiovascular Biology

In addition to traditional post-doctoral appointments,
especially qualified individuals may be appointed in the
Research Faculty Track. These individuals have
distinguished themselves in terms of publications and
professional achievements and are promoted to this rank
to be competitive for extramural funding. These
non-permanent positions allow the appointee to secure
sufficient resources to aggressively compete in the job
market for tenure-track academic faculty jobs and advance
their professional careers.
