How You Can Help Advance Research in Alzheimer’s Disease

You are invited to join the MCG Memory Assessment Program:
This program, currently being conducted by the Alzheimer Research Center at the Medical College of Georgia has a two-fold objective: to assess risk factors for Alzheimer Disease and to develop a treatment for the disease.

Both healthy subjects and Alzheimer Subjects, ages 60 and older are needed for the study.

During the Study Assessment Session:

  • You will sign written consents indicating your willingness to participate in the research.
     

  • You will give oral and written responses to questions testing your memory and problem solving skills.
     

  • You will donate about six tablespoons of blood.

Additional Information:

  • Your testing will take about two hours to complete and will be conducted at the Walter L. Shepeard Building, conveniently located on the MCG campus. Free visitor parking is available.
     

  • You will be tested at intervals of between six months and a year.
     

  • The results of your testing are totally confidential. Results are revealed to no one outside the study including the subject, the subject’s family, insurance providers or physicians.
     

  • There is no charge to you for participating in the study.
     

  • Your participation in the program will provide a great contribution to the understanding of Alzheimer’s Disease.
