Target Audience

This course will present a broad spectrum of material to family medicine physicians and other specialists who focus on primary medical care.

Many physicians regularly attend this course, so topics rotate and change yearly. The presentations emphasize differential diagnosis and management strategies. This is an excellent preparation for recertification or to review certifying examinations. The comprehensive syllabus with references is a solid resource for clinicians and office staff.

Objectives

This symposium should prepare participants to:

  • Understand advances in common problems facing primary care providers.
  • Outline practical approaches from experienced clinicians in their areas of interest for problem-solving and management.
  • Focus on recent recommendations in managing ob-gyn, geriatrics, neurological conditions, pediatrics, coronary artery disease as well as small-group sessions in OMT, suturing and SAMs to assist in recertification.
  • Optimize disease treatment.
  • Apply the comprehensive syllabus as a reference and review for addressing health care problems.
