St. Simons Island

OBJECTIVES
The Medical College of Georgia Symposium on General Dentistry offers the practicing dentist a comprehensive array of clinical information in a well structured, condensed format. The speakers are nationally recognized for their expertise in the subjects they will present.

The objective in these 25.25 hours of continuing education is to present cost-effective clinical techniques, materials and treatment modalities that are of interest to the general dentist with an advanced restorative practice. This weeklong presentation offers comprehensive information and the opportunity to update your clinical knowledge in a relaxed, productive course. Open registration makes it possible to custom design your schedule. The half-day format provides ample opportunity to learn and relax at the beach. Dentists are encouraged to bring one staff member to the course.

LOCATION
This course is presented at the King and Prince Beach Resort, St. Simons Island, Georgia, a comfortable and relaxing setting for attendees and their families. All sessions will be held in the Ballroom of the King and Prince Beach Resort. The course schedule allows ample time for exploring the many attractions of the Golden Isles.



St. Simon lighthouseSt. Simons Island is a charming island community offering a variety of art galleries, shops, dining, night life, historical attractions and recreational opportunities. St. Simons Island contains lovely residential areas and numerous historic sites.

THE GOLDEN ISLES OF GEORGIA
The islands separating the mainland of Georgia from the Atlantic Ocean are picturesquely named the Golden Isles. Golfing, tennis, sailing, bicycling, and wind-surfing are popular activities on the islands. Boat cruises, nature tours and fishing expeditions offer opportunities for exploring the teeming salt-marsh environment.

LODGING INFORMATION
The King and Prince Beach Resort offers a variety of accommodations, including some oceanfront villas. Weekly rates are available for the villas. For information or to make a reservation, please call (800) 342-0212 or (912) 638-3631. The deadline for making reservations is May 25, 2009.

A deposit of one night's room rate plus 12 % tax per room is required for all reservations. Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00 a.m.

Travel Arrangements:
St. Simons Island is located near Brunswick, Georgia, midway between Jacksonville and Savannah. Both cities are served by major airlines as well as Amtrak, and Atlantic Southeast Airlines serves Brunswick/Glynco Airport (14 miles).

By Car:
From North and South I-95 and U.S. 17. From West via U.S. 25, 84, 341. Enter causeway off U.S. 17 at Brunswick.

Limousine Service to and from Jacksonville (70 miles) is available by reservation from Golden Isles Shuttle (912) 264-1221. From Brunswick/Glynco Airport, shuttle service is provided by the King and Prince (912) 638-3631.


COMFORT ZONE
Although every effort is made to have a comfortable temperature in the meeting room, we realize everyone’s comfort zone is different. Please bring a jacket or light wrap in case the room is too cool for your comfort.
