"Key Factors in Achieving Optimum Aesthetic Results in Implant Dentistry" Dr. Aysegul Siranli Key Factors for a successful esthetic implant outcome include both soft tissue and hard tissue considerations. Understanding the ideal implant-to-implant, and implant-to-tooth relationship supports proper papilla formation. Challenges for patient esthetics during healing include decisions about immediate loading versus delayed loading. Even if placement of implants is referred, the dentist should be aware of these considerations when discussing implants options with patients. |

School of Dentistry Banquet and Class Reunions Marriott Hotel and Suites, 6 p.m. reception and 7 p.m. banquet. The classes of 1974, 1984, 1994, 1999 and 2004 will be honored. Honorees include 2009 Distinguished Alumnus Dr. Edward J. Green, '83, and new alumni association lifetime members. Cost: $55 ($60 after April 10). |

LOCATION
The dental continuing education courses will be held in the MCG School of
Dentistry.
MEDICAL COLLEGE OF GEORGIA FACULTY
William W. Brackett, D.D.S., M.S.D., Associate Professor of Oral Rehabilitation at MCG. He received his DDS from the Ohio State University and his MSD in Operative Dentistry from Indiana. He has 7 years experience in full-time private practice and has held full-time faculty appointments at Indiana, Ohio State, and the University of Tennessee. He was director of operative dentistry at the University of Nebraska before joining MCG. The author of more than 50 scientific articles, Dr. Brackett teaches operative dentistry and fixed prosthodontics, conducts research on dentin-adhesives with Dr. David Pashley, and reviews for several scientific journals.
Aysegul Siranli, D.M.D., Ph.D., D.D.S., an Assistant Professor of Oral Rehabilitation, earned D.D.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Hacettepe
University and a D.M.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She
completed an implantology fellowship and trained in surgical Placement of dental implants and prosthetic rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh. She served on the University of Pittsburgh faculty from 2005-08. In 2008, she joined MCG, where she treats patients and teaches prosthodontics and implant dentistry.

The course is free for alumni association members and $50 for others BUT any individuals
planning to attend the lectures MUST register
in advance. Advance registration is also required for the boat tour.
