Advanced Botulinum Toxin Treatment

A Hands-On Workshop to Present the Current Trends in Botulinum Toxin Treatment

Purpose and Objectives
The Advanced Botulinum Toxin Workshop will provide firsthand experience with evaluation and injection techniques for patients with cervical dystonia, spasticity, pain (headaches, low back pain), hypersalivation, facial dyskinesia and spasmodic dysphonia (subject to change depending on patient availability).

This program should enable participants to:

  • evaluate patients with dystonic tremors to distinguish them from a fixed
    cervical dystonia with compensatory movements
  • evaluate and treat patients with oromandibular dystonia or facial dyskinesia
  • evaluate and treat patients with hypersalivation/sialorrhea
  • evaluate and treat patients with spasticity or focal limb dystonia
  • evaluate and treat patients with low back pain, myofascial pain and headache with botulinum toxin
  • evaluate and treat patients with spasmodic dysphonia

Target Audience
The educational activity is designed for anesthesiologists, neurologists and physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians.
