GUEST FACULTY
Dr. Jeff BlankJeff Blank, D.M.D., a 1989 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine, emphasizes   complex restorative reconstruction and cosmetic enhancement in his Rock Hill, S.C. practice. He is an adjunct instructor in the Medical University of South Carolina Department of General Dentistry and a fellow of the Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics. He is a member of the International Association for Dental Research, the Academy of Operative Dentistry, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. He has authored dozens of clinical manuscripts and has lectured worldwide. Dr. Blank holds a U.S. patent for a composite finishing instrument and created the C.E.B.L. technique for direct veneer layering. For more information, visit www.carolinasmilecenter.com.

Dr. William BrackettWilliam W. Brackett, D.D.S., M.S.D., Associate Professor of Oral Rehabilitation at MCG. He received his DDS from the Ohio State University and his MSD in Operative Dentistry from Indiana. He has 7 years experience in full-time private practice and has held full-time faculty appointments at Indiana, Ohio State, and the University of Tennessee. He was director of operative dentistry at the University of Nebraska before joining MCG. The author of more than 50 scientific articles, Dr. Brackett teaches operative dentistry and fixed prosthodontics, conducts research on dentin-adhesives with Dr. David Pashley, and reviews for several scientific journals.


Dr. Barry HammondBarry Hammond, D.M.D., Course Director, a 1986 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine, completed a general practice residency in Chapel Hill, N.C. Dr. Hammond maintained a private practice for 15 years, emphasizing restorative and esthetic dentistry. He is an L.D. Pankey Institute alumnus and taught for several years with the Ross Nash Institute for Dental Learning in Charlotte, N.C. Dr. Hammond joined the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry faculty in 2006 and his lectures are primarily focused on esthetic techniques and materials and the role occlusion plays in achieving predictability. Dr. Hammond is the University Advisory Council Member for the Medical College of Georgia to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Other organizational memberships include the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Education Association.

This oceanfront paradise is a perfect getaway. Lush meandering gardens surrounded by peaceful lagoons are the ideal setting to relax and unwind. Three miles of white sandy beaches are at your doorstep.

Rooms have been reserved at the Hilton Oceanfront Resort for course registrants at a special rate of $229 per night, single or double occupancy. The block of rooms will be released April 22, 2008. After this date, rooms are available on a space-and-rate availability basis only. Reservations must be canceled 14 days prior to arrival.

Room Rates: $229 per day single or double occupancy, plus 11% tax and $6 parking fee per room per night. Reservations will be held only until 4:00 p.m. on the day of arrival unless guaranteed by a check for one night’s lodging or by major credit card.
