20 Years of Excellence

“I chose the MCG/AAID Maxi-Course over other programs because it followed the type of sound academic training I received in my periodontics residency. It began with excellent teaching in relevant basic sciences, progressed to in-depth clinical lectures by expert implantologists and ended with clinical exposure to live surgery demonstrations accompanied by discussion groups. We reviewed the literature and a major textbook during the course. Participants became computer and library users as well as learned to enjoy sharing their knowledge in front of their classmates. Close friendships and mentoring relationships evolved. I highly recommend this program to anyone who has not had the benefit of a recent and thorough university education in implant dentistry.”
Keith Grove, D.D.S., M.S.,
Periodontist/Diplomate ABP,
Veterinarian, Diplomate to AVDC,
Vero Beach, Florida

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This is one of the most respected comprehensive training programs in implant dentistry. Presenters include approximately 31 renowned university faculty, as well as world-class clinicians.

Instructors are among the country’s top authorities in implant dentistry.

The course will provide over 300 hours of lecture, laboratory sessions, live surgical demonstrations and home/office assignments. It will be presented in 10 parts, once a month, over a 10-month period. The written portion of the AAID Associate Fellow Membership Examination will be given during the December session for those who are interested. The September session is dedicated for the entire dental office staff to develop a team approach to implant dentistry.

Advances in all areas of implant dentistry are occurring rapidly. Many of today’s implant courses cover the “how-to” quite well, but neglect the “why.” All practitioners, especially those starting out in implant dentistry, should become knowledgeable in all areas of implantology.

This course is a must for all general dentists, periodontists, prosthodontists and oral surgeons who want to be proficient in implant dentistry and become an Associate Fellow Member of the AAID.

This course will take the implant dentist “back to school.” It will include basic science information in anatomy, microbiology and histology, all specifically geared to implant dentistry.

20 Years of Excellence

“I have practiced dentistry for 29 years and have taken hundreds of hours in continuing education. I have improved my diagnostic skills, my documentation, my surgical and my prosthetic skills. The MCG Maxi-Course has enhanced the quality of patient care more than all courses combined.”
Ralph Cohen, D.M.D.,
General Dentist,
Atlanta, Georgia

OBJECTIVES
This course should enable participants to:

  • Discuss the basic sciences as they relate to implant dentistry
  • Formulate a comprehensive approach to diagnosis and treatment-planning related to implant dentistry
  • Explain dental specialty areas and how they relate to implant therapy
  • Assess the many implant systems and rate their advantages and disadvantages
  • Use enhanced knowledge of implant dentistry to challenge the American
Academy of Implant Dentistry Associate Fellow Membership Exam
  • Recognize implant procedures by observing live surgical and prosthetic
    demonstrations on patients
