28th Annual
Marvin Goldstein Lecture Series
Restorative Dentistry
in the Year 2006 and Beyond

April 28th, 2006

Augusta Marriott Hotel

This year’s Goldstein Lecture will again occur during MCG Homecoming weekend, and will include the all-day Friday Goldstein lecture, as well as a Saturday morning CE offering. The featured speaker is California dentist Dr. Harry Albers, discussing composite restorations from his private practice, study clubs and extensive publication experiences.

INTRODUCING OUR FEATURED SPEAKER
Dr. Harry AlbersThis year’s Goldstein Lecture again will coincide with MCG Homecoming. Dr. Harry Albers, a private practitioner in Santa Rosa, Calif., will discuss composite restorations. The full-day lecture will be followed by a half-day Saturday faculty continuing education offering.

During his 25-year career, Dr. Albers has lectured and published extensively on cosmetic dentistry, tooth-colored restoratives, direct and indirect veneers, bonded posterior restorations, fixed prosthodontics, temporization, impression techniques and other aspects of clinical dentistry. His best-selling text, Tooth Colored Restoratives, is in its eighth edition and has been translated into two foreign languages. Dr. Albers helped organize 500 dentist-graduates from study groups into the Academy of Cosmetic and Adhesive Dentistry, enabling long-term clinical monitoring of restorative materials in dental practices by similarly trained operators.

Dr. Albers is editor of the ADEPT Report, a highly acclaimed quarterly newsletter about advances in adhesive and cosmetic dentistry.

ABOUT THE MARVIN GOLDSTEIN LECTURE SERIES
Dr. Marvin GoldsteinDr. Marvin Goldstein was a noted Atlanta orthodontist and philanthropist who for 20 years sponsored an internationally known dental clinician to lecture at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. Dr. Goldstein believed the integrity of the dental profession could best be preserved by promoting clinical excellence and sharing information with colleagues. Following his death in 1997, Mrs. Rita (Goldstein) Wolfson arranged to perpetuate her husband’s contributions to the dental profession through a gift to MCG that will continue to support the Annual Goldstein Lectureship. MCG and the dental profession continue to be served through the generosity of the Goldstein family.
