Programs sponsored by the Office of Educational Outreach and Partnerships represent the educational pipeline established by the School of Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia. These pipeline programs are designed to encourage talented students from backgrounds that are underrepresented in the health sciences as well as other disadvantaged students. Goals of the pipeline include motivating these students to pursue careers in the health professions, promoting their recruitment to MCG, and contributing to their retention after they have been admitted into one of MCG's health professions schools. These programs represent a broad spectrum of educational opportunities for students ranging from elementary school through professional studies in the allied health sciences, dentistry, graduate studies, medicine, and nursing. Newly funded pipeline initiatives build upon well-established, existing pipeline programs housed in the EOP, which have a long tradition of success based upon the efforts of the many dedicated students, administrators and faculty who have participated in them for over three decades. For more information on the Office of Educational Outreach and Partnerships, please contact the School of Medicine, Research and Education Building, CB-1801, Augusta, GA 30912-1900 or by phone at (706) 721-2522.
