Welcome to the MCG Arts Council

Our Mission

The mission of the MCG Arts Council is to promote a healing environment by bringing visual and performing arts to patients, their families, visitors, health care personnel and students within the academic medical community. The council believes the arts enhance the healing process, enrich the community and encourage wellness.

Our Goals

• To provide coordinated and experienced leadership regarding the arts within the academic medical community.
• To support the establishment of a museum for items of historical or scientific value related to the Medical College of Georgia.
• To enhance the community’s knowledge and image of the academic medical community through the visual and performing arts.
• To enhance the environment for patients, their families, visitors, health care personnel and students within the academic medical community through the visual and performing arts.
• To maintain a diverse and active committee which reflects an interest in the visual and performing arts.
