The Department of Biomedical and Radiological Technologies would like to invite the Alumni of Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiation Therapy, Medical Dosimetry and Radiography programs to a celebration of three program anniversaries in 2009.

• 50th Anniversary – Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology (CLS/MT)
• 40th Anniversary – Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT)
• 25th Anniversary – Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS)
  

Please join us during Homecoming weekend, April 23-26, 2009 in Augusta to celebrate the anniversaries and to honor all of our program’s Distinguished Alumni, including the School of Allied Health Sciences Distinguished Alumna – Col. Donna Sewell Whittaker, PhD – CLS/MT Class of 1983.

The primary events for the homecoming weekend include:

• Friday, April 24 – Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology  Presentation; "Lean Six Sigma: Creating an Innovative Culture of Continuous, Measurable Improvement" , 1:00pm - 2:30pm, Health Sciences Building, Room EC 1204, 987 St. Sebastian Way, Augusta, GA 30912.

 

• Friday, April 24 – Biomedical and Radiological Technologies (BRT) Reception, Dinner and Awards Program, 6:30pm – 9:00pm, Savannah Rapids Pavilion Loblolly Room, 3300 Evans to Lock Road, Martinez, GA.  At this event, we will also be celebrating the Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology 50th Anniversary; Nuclear Medicine Technology 40th Anniversary and the Diagnostic Medical Sonography 25th Anniversary! Cost is $40 per person

 

• Saturday, April 25 – President’s Cookout, 12:00pm – 2:00pm, President’s House – No charge. Please join us and our Distinguished Alumni at this event!

 

• Saturday, April 25 – School of Allied Health Sciences Reception, Banquet and Distinguished Alumnus Presentation, 6:00pm Reception, 7:00pm Banquet, Marriott Hotel and Suites, Two 10th Street, Augusta, GA. Honorees will include the 2009 Distinguished Alumna Col. Donna Sewell Whittaker (Medical Technology ’83)

The schedule for the April 24, BRT Reception, Dinner, Awards Program and Anniversary Celebration is:

6:30pm – Wine and Cheese Reception at the Savannah Rapids Pavilion Loblolly Room
7:00pm – Dinner, Awards Presentation and Anniversaries celebration.
