Certification and Licensure
Most health professionals are regulated by the state and require either certification or licensure in order to practice. The various sites below will help you understand and negotiate the licensure process.

Continuing Education
Most health care professionals are required to earn continuing education (CE) credits to fulfill state licensure requirements or to be members of their professional societies. The requirements for each profession are determined by its state licensing board.

Your local AHEC is a great source for CE. Through Healthtecdl we offer no-cost online distance learning; many programs offer CE/CME credits.  Professional societies, major medical and health sciences universities, health and government organizations, for-profit organizations and others also offer CE courses.
