If you’re considering pursuing an education to become a health care professional, you will have to give some thought to financing that education. These links will help:

Service-cancelable loans

The cost of a health care education for one year can range from $2,000 to $30,000. Fortunately, you do not have to bear the entire cost of your education alone. There are many financial options available to assist students.

The links above connect to Georgia specific information. Remember that other options also exist, including federal, institutional and private financial aid, as well as loan forgiveness programs. Aid from private sources may be the hardest to identify, but should not be overlooked as they can provide substantial support. Private sources include:

*local business
*civic groups
*churches
*employers
*foundations
*schools
*unions

Because there are so many financial aid options available, students are advised to talk with a school counselor and/or the financial aid departments of any schools of interest. These individuals can provide important information about which financial aid options work best for you, and the application procedures that should be followed.
