Training Requirements:

sbball.gif (148 bytes) All prospective irradiator operators must complete the Initial 6 hour Radiation Safety  training class for research personnel and the annual refresher course as required.

sbball.gif (148 bytes) Correctly demonstrate the normal irradiator operating procedures to  Dr. Anatolij Horuzsko or Dr. Patricia Schoenlein
sbball.gif (148 bytes) Correctly demonstrate the use of a Ion-chamber survey meter to an authorized user of the irradiator.
sbball.gif (148 bytes) Correctly "walk through" simulated emergency procedures with an authorized irradiator operator.
sbball.gif (148 bytes) Note that the new user, a Principal Authorized User, and the Radiation Safety Officer must sign and date the form which can be accessed following completion of the training material.
