Course of Study The NAP is a seven-semester program that integrates didactic and clinical instruction. The first three semesters of didactic instruction include experience in the human patient simulation lab where students become familiar with anesthesia techniques and procedures prior to entering the clinical setting. Students administer sedation, regional and general anesthesia to pediatric and adult patients for a wide variety of surgical specialties. Over the course of study, students administer on average more than 800 anesthetics over at least 2,000 clinical hours. |
