The information contained on this website is directed toward the daily practice of transfusion medicine in the clinical service setting. As much as possible, practices, procedures, and concepts are based on contemporary best practices, benchmarks derived from the medical scientific literature, and quality assurance/utilization review criteria. As necessary, regulatory and accreditation standards are incorporated into these resources.
Clinical departments and practitioners are invited to suggest topics and resource documents for placement on the website. These suggestions should be based on objective third-party criteria such as: consensus statements from the medical literature; standards promulgated by recognized societies or working groups; well controlled studies; etc. These comments and resource documents should be sent to:
