Medical Student Training
Rotations in Dermatology for medical students are offered as one month electives. The number of students who take the elective ranges from four to six per month, some of whom are from outside medical schools. In addition to clinical dermatology (experience in the clinics), students attend the various dermatologic teaching conferences (basic science, journal clubs, dermatopathology, morphology conferences, and grand rounds) and have a series of 16 didactic lectures as a core curriculum. Many of the students have become interested in dermatology via the elective and have taken residencies in dermatology at MCG and elsewhere.
