Visualizing Medicine

Cardiovascular Center Medical Illustration serves the departments of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Biology. Medical Illustration develops solutions for a variety of visual problems. This service specializes in creating original artwork and designs that are scientifically accurate and visually engaging.

What is a Medical Illustrator?

A medical illustrator is trained in medicine, art, and digital media. We are different from a graphic artist because of our formal medical training. Medical Illustrators are capable of taking complex scientific material and boiling it down to an understandable piece of artwork. As it has often been said, a picture is worth a thousand words.
