Objectives:
Orientation Course:
Many candidates who are unfamiliar with the Medical College of Georgia
may need access to the facilities prior to the CRDTS exam. To comply with
state laws and institutional policies, an orientation course is designed to
allow you to evaluate (NOT TREAT) patients who you may wish to treat during
the examination. Assistance in preparation for the examination will include
orientation, tour, access to clinic for screening activities, and access to
laboratory and supplies for preparation and practicing the procedures that
do not involve patients.
Individualized instruction on specific procedures is beyond the scope of this course. However, on scheduled days faculty will be available to provide individualized feedback on dentoform preparations. A limited number of ivorine teeth, as well as the recommended diamond burs will be made available to each participate.
It is the responsibility of each candidate to provide their own patients. MCG does not have a broad patient pool and does not allow applicants access to patient records. Securing back-up patients is strongly advised.

Participants must provide dentoforms, instruments, mirrors and explorers.
