Fixed prosthodontics is the art and science of restoring defective or
damaged teeth and/or replacing missing teeth. This is achieved with the use
of crowns, fixed prostheses (bridges), and dental implants.
Students are taught comprehensive diagnosis, treatment planning, clinical
techniques, biomaterials, and esthetic concepts that are essential for
restorative and fixed prosthodontic treatment.
