Part-Time Enrollment Policy

  1. The School and a Program may consider enrolling a part time resident in situations where it is in the best interests of the School, Program and applicant.

  2. Complete application materials must be submitted by the applicant.  The applicant may or may not have participated in the PASS or Match programs.

  3. A resident accepted for part-time enrollment must start and complete the program at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry.

  4. The resident must be enrolled in the Program at least at the 50% level.

  5. The educational experience, including the clinical experience and responsibilities, provided for a part-time resident must be at least equivalent to those provided a full time resident.

  6. The total educational time spent in a part-time program must be equivalent to the total time spent in a full-time program, that is, a full-time 24 month program would take a 50% part-time resident 48 months to complete.
