The Medical College of Georgia has a
comprehensive biomedical sciences research agenda with signature
programs in cancer, infection and inflammation, neurological
conditions, and cardiovascular diseases. Physical therapy faculty
are involved in research in balance, sports medicine, rehabilitation
oncology, neurological rehabilitation, educational delivery systems,
prosthetic devices, and environmental stress during exercise. The
department also houses three research laboratories whose activities
are directed by physical therapy faculty.
