Rank:  Assistant or Associate Professor (tenure track)

A twelve-month faculty position is available in the Medical College of Georgia’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. Responsibilities include teaching in the candidate’s areas of interest, university/community service, and scholarship. Faculty practice and research partnerships are possible within the medical university campus. The preferred candidate will be a physical therapist with a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience and an earned doctorate. A tenure-earning or non-tenure track appointment is available at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

As the state’s health sciences university, the mission of the Medical College of Georgia is to discover, disseminate, and apply knowledge to improve health and reduce the burden of illness on society. The university has 2,400 students in its Schools of Allied Health Sciences, Dentistry, Graduate Studies, Medicine, and Nursing. In addition, approximately 420 residents and fellows are completing advanced training in medicine and dentistry. Clinical facilities include the adult MCG Hospital, the Children’s Medical Center and more than 80 specialty clinics and centers. MCG has a comprehensive biomedical sciences research program with focuses on cancer, infection and inflammation, and neurological and cardiovascular diseases.

The Medical College of Georgia is located in Augusta, home of the Masters and a short driving distance from the historical districts of Savannah, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina.
