From the Dean ...

Dear SAHS Faculty and Staff, Dean, Shelley C. Mishoe, PhD

I am writing to extend my heartfelt wishes to each of you to have a most successful, new academic year! I know you have many challenges in your preparation for a new year, while continuously keeping up with the demands of our current programs, students, projects and activities. I want to thank each and every one of you for your dedication, perseverance and talents that you most generously share with colleagues, students, patients and the community.

In closing, I share one of my favorite quotations: "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away." I wish that you have many breathless moments due to beauty and wonder (not frustration or anger). I welcome our new students, faculty and staff as we kick off another academic year!

Warmest regards,

Shelley C. Mishoe, PhD, RRT, FAARC

Practice Plan Update

The Request to Practice Form on the web has been revised and updated. Faculty should complete the Request to Practice Form as the first step in determining if an activity should be included in the Practice Plan, and before a contract can be initiated. Following the Dean's office reorganization, completed Request to Practice Forms and questions regarding the Plan should be directed to Dr. Elizabeth Wark. An election will be held in late August or early September to elect a new member to the Board of Directors to replace Dr. Mike Bergeron, whose term is completed this summer.  (top)
