Applying for Residency

We participate in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and applications to our program will be taken exclusively through that service. A complete application will include the following:

Complete ERAS common application form (CAF)
3 letters of recommendation (specific letter from department chairman or residency program director not required)
Dean's letter
Medical School Transcript
USMLE Step 1 and (if available) Step 2 scores
Photograph (optional)

We hope to interview as many applicants as possible starting November 2, 2008 and continuing through January 29, 2009, but we have a finite number of interview slots. Therefore, applicants will be invited to interview after review of application materials (although a complete application is not necessary for an invitation to be extended)

On February 6, 2009, we will be offering “Replay Augusta & MCG.” This is an opportunity for applicants and their families to come and get a second, in-depth look at our program and the Augusta area.

Applications must be received through ERAS by December 15, 2008.
