Foreign Medical Grad Requirements

Applications are accepted only through the
Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS).

Requirements for Foreign Medical Graduates:

• 3 months of experience in the United States
• Must have graduated from medical school within the past two years
• Must score higher >90 on Step I and II CK of USMLE, passing on the first try
• Must pass Step II CS on the first try
• Foreign medical graduates may be required to provide other materials in support of their applications in addition to the materials for graduates of American or Canadian medical schools.

Visa Sponsorship
The Department of Medicine will only sponsor J1 VISAs. No special considerations will be made for H1B visas for any applicant.
