CAMPUS-WIDE TEACHING:
In addition to offering MS and PhD in Biostatistics, and Masters and Certificate in Clinical and Translational Science, the Department is also active in teaching biostatistics-related courses for other Schools and Departments at MCG. The following is the list of courses that are open to students with appropriate prerequisites:
MENTORING:
The Department faculty members are actively involved in mentoring graduate students, residents, fellows and junior faculty on campus. Mentoring activities include:
- Serving as co-mentors for students in the Masters and Certificate programs in Clinical and Translational Science
- Serving in the Masters and Doctoral committees for students in other programs
- Participating in career development programs such as K awards and other intramural and extramural mechanisms for fellows and junior faculty
- Helping them with biostatistical support on their projects
- Participating in journal clubs and other research forums
- Offering seminars and tutorials to small groups on request
