Subinoy Das, M.D.

Assistant Professor, Department of Otolaryngology

 

 

   

Dr. Das was born in Atlanta, GA and grew up in Orlando, FL, and in northern Virginia. He attended college at the University of Virginia where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and received the Alfred Berger award for the top-premedical student at the University. He received a full merit scholarship to attend the University of Virginia School of Medicine, where he was president of his medical school class and graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. He also received the C. Richard Bowman scholarship for the top clinical performance in his class. He then completed his surgical internship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and then Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery training at the University of North Carolina. He is currently completing an Advanced Rhinology/Sinus Surgery fellowship and has joined the faculty at the Medical College of Georgia.

 

He is the recipient of several research grants including the study of the causes of chronic sinusitis. He received the James Harrill Resident Research Award of the Triological Society for his work on how viruses damage the lining of human sinuses. He has authored or co-authored several book chapters and numerous scientific articles and has given presentations at several regional, national, and international meetings. He is a current member of numerous medical societies, including the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, the Triological Society, the American Rhinologic Society, and the American Academy for Otolaryngic Allergy.

Areas of practice include rhinology, endoscopic sinus surgery, advanced skull base surgery, minimally invasive pituitary surgery

Research Interests

Innate immune system of human nasal and sinus epithelium; protein markers for chronic rhinosinusitis.
