Service Goals To support the provision of high-quality patient and family centered care in a user-friendly educational environment Provide quality reference, circulation and computer lab service to library users Establish an Integrated Advanced Information Management Systems (IAIMS) program on the MCG campus Promote library programs and services Support information for health care planning and decision-making related to patient care Expand the library faculty liaison program Maximize the use and quality of our facility Establish clinical consult pilot program to test the efficacy of clinical teaching, clinical learning, and patient outcomes Conduct a library services needs assessment in the hospital and clinics Extend library resources and services to the academic libraries in the University System of Georgia Provide library resources and services to the extended MCG community, including area health practitioners and consumers, educational institutions in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) and statewide agencies    What information consumes is rather obvious: it consumes the attention of its recipients. Hence, a wealth of information creates a poverty of attention and a need to allocate that attention efficiently among the overabundance of information  sources that might consume it. ~ Herbert Simon ~
