- Increase remote access to electronic resources for MCG affiliates
- Maximize effective use of emerging technologies
- Increase and enhance electronic access to formerly print only information
- Improve bibliographic access to the research literature
- Collaborate with MCG Academic Computing in testing wireless technology
- Filter electronic resources for quality using collection assessment criteria, e.g.,
Web links, databases
- Provide quality-filtered and/or value- added information resources, e.g., OVID
- Restructure document delivery to provide more access at minimal cost to
researchers/graduate students
- Provide information resources for distance education research while minimizing the
barriers of off-site locations
- Provide and organize Web links to quality research sites
Assessment
- Match research information purchase requests with collection development policy
- Analyze use statistics provided by loan, OVID, etc.
- Match user needs for biomedical/ education internet links to library Web page links
