Graduate Student Organization (GSO)
Welcome to the Medical College of Georgia's Graduate Student Organization (GSO)! We are a student run organization. American Heart Association Heartwalk...

The 2009 MCG Graduate Student Organization (GSO) Heart-walk team would like to thank all the generous donors and supporters who made this year’s American Heart Association Heart Walk campaign a success. Your generosity in the face of this uneasy economy goes beyond helping our team reach goals and in fact go as far as touching the lives of those affected by cardiovascular disease and stroke. Because of you, those facing cardiovascular disease or stroke will have an organization that is better equipped to educate and assist them.
The 3 mile Heart Walk took place this past Saturday, Sept. 25, with a great showing from numerous teams with a common goal: staying dry. Though the weather was not as brilliant as the faces of the walkers around campus of ASU, your MCG GSO team could at least rejoice in the reaching our fundraising goal as well as looking good in our kindly donated team t-shirts. We were able to beat our team fundraising goal at $1003 and so to all the donors and supporters, thank you! You made it all possible.
Sincerely,
MCG GSO team
GSO Camping Trip a Success!
- REALLY COOL CAMPING TRIP COLLAGE -
As a first event for this school year the GSO organized a camping weekend at Mistletoe State Park in Appling, Ga. This trip was intended for any and all graduate students to come out and take a weekend away from school and get to know new people while enjoying the beautiful Clark’s Hill Lake. About 50 students from different programs including Biomedical Science, Biostatistics, and Medical Illustration were able to meet new people and form friendships that will surely last, as well as create memories of a great trip!
