Cell Imaging Core Laboratory
Instrumentation

The Cell Imaging Core Laboratory has:

  • Zeiss LSM 510 Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope with Meta System equipped with a Coherent Mira 900 tunable Ti:Sapphire laser for multi-photon excitation
  • LSM 510 Meta Confocal Microscope with an Argon-488, He-Neon 543, 633 lasers
  • Zeiss Deconvolution System, Axioplan microscope, AxioVision software, and AxioCam high sensitivity camera
  • Zeiss AXIOPHOT upright microscope with Axiocam camera
  • Zeiss inverted fluorescence microscope equipped with an Eppendorf microinjector
  • ArtixScan 1800F Microtek digital scanner: reflexive, positive, negative scanning 
  • One color and one B&W Codonics printers
  • Xerox Tektronics 8500N thermal color wax printer
  • DVD and CD recorders
  • Equipment and software for digital editing of movies and still photographs for publication and data presentation including:
  • Volocity 3D Imaging Software
  • Deconvolution
  • Quantification
  • Analysis
  • 3D Reconstruction
