Course Director
Dr. K. FrazierDr. Kevin B. Frazier, Course Director and Associate Professor of Oral Rehabilitation at MCG, received his DMD and General Practice Residency Certificate from the University of Florida. He teaches operative and esthetic dentistry and serves as attending faculty to general practice residents. He maintains an intramural general dental practice and conducts research on resin-based restorative materials. Dr. Frazier is the Councilor of the Operative Dentistry/Biomaterials Section of the American Dental Education Association and is the Southeast Regional Director for the Consortium of Operative Dentistry Educators.

Course Faculty

Steve CartinSteve Cartin served as General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Dental Systems, Inc., a company that provides monthly business-system support for 1,500 Texas and Oklahoma dentists. Before beginning Cartin Coaching & Management, he oversaw practice management consulting and business activities for Jameson Management in the UK and Ireland. He lives in Aiken County, South Carolina and continues to work with dental practices on both sides of the Atlantic.

Dr. CiarroccaDr. Katharine Ciarrocca, Clinical Instructor in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation, received her DMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania where she also completed post-doctoral training in oral medicine and a Master's in Education. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Medicine. Prior to joining the faculty, Dr. Ciarrocca served as an Adjunct/Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral Medicine at Penn.


Dr.DeRossiDr. Scott DeRossi, MCG Associate Professor of Oral Medicine and Chair of Oral Health and Diagnostic Sciences, received his dental degree and postdoctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Dr. DeRossi, who has had an oral medicine practice for over 11 years, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Medicine. He received an Earl Bank Hoyt Teaching Award from the University of Pennsylvania, where he held a faculty position before joining MCG. He co-authored a Burket’s Oral Medicine textbook and lectures and publishes extensively on all aspects of oral medicine.

Dr. Dan HenryDr. Dan B. Henry, Past President of the Florida Dental Association, earned his DDS. degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery and maintains a general practice in Pensacola, Florida. He is past president of the Florida Dental Association and the Florida Academy of Dental Practice Administration. He is a fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the American Academy of Gold Foil Operators and the Academy of Operative Dentistry.

Dr. T. McDonaldDr. Thomas R. McDonald, Clinical Instructor of Oral Rehabilitation, maintains a full - time private practice in Athens, Georgia. He is an MCG Distinguished Alumnus and a Fellow in the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He is an Honorable Fellow of the Georgia Dental Association. He has lectured extensively at national and regional meetings on occlusion, esthetic restorative dentistry and provisional restorations.

Dr. RobbinsDr. J. William Robbins maintains a full-time private practice and is Clinical Professor in General Dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He graduated from the University of Tennessee Dental School in l973. He completed a rotating internship at the Department of Veterans Affairs medical Center in Leavenworth, Kansas and a General Practice Residency at the V.A. in San Diego. Dr. Robbins has published over 80 articles, abstracts and chapters on a wide range of dental subjects and has lectured internationally. He is a Diplomate of the Federal Services Board of General Dentistry and the American Board of General Dentistry and is a past president of the American Board of General Dentistry.
