Robert B.
Greenblatt, MD Library
serves as the primary information center for the Medical
College of Georgia (MCG). The staff provide information and
services to support institutional priorities of research/scholarly
activity, education and service. Collections: the library provides a collection of biomedical books, journals, audiovisuals, computer programs, databases, Internet resources, university publications and various special collections. Reference Services: The library provides a variety of database resources as well as specialized reference services, including mediated searches and online reference services. Authorized users can access the following resources from off-campus using the proxy password.
GALILEO
- the University System of Georgia state-wide Library System,
providing a wide variety of information services including databases
and full-text resources. Micromedex - unbiased, referenced information about drugs, toxicology, diseases, acute care, and alternative medicine. Ovid - a collection of databases, many with full-text. Databases include: MEDLINE, CINAHL, EBM Reviews, PsycINFO, SPORTDiscus, and Health and Psychosocial Instruments. (NOTE: this is the MCG link to Ovid. Non-MCG students and Preceptors should use the AHEC Ovid link (http://gateway.ovid.com/) Science Direct - Providing desktop access to more than 1800 scientific, medical and technical journals published by Elsevier. STAT!Ref - approximately 60 medicine and nursing books in full text, searchable by key work or table of contents
